Chandler is proud to be celebrating its 50th year in business in 2009!

Our company was founded in 1959 in Saint John, New Brunswick as a division of J.D. Irving, Limited.

Though we're now Atlantic Canada's leading business-to-business provider in the areas of sanitation, apparel and promotional goods, office environments, commercial communications and industrial packaging and printing, we started out much more humbly with a focus on supplying provisions for the shipping industry.

Gradually, we expanded our areas of expertise and opened branch offices to better serve customers across Atlantic Canada.

Along the way, we strengthened our lineup of products and services through strategic acquisitions. In 2002, for example, we purchased R&A Paper Products Ltd, which formed the foundation of our new company office in Sydney, Nova Scotia. More recently, in 2007, we purchased Enviro Chemicals (Atlantic) Ltd., significantly enhancing the capabilities of our sanitation division. We can now provide our sanitation customers with greater coverage, more expertise and a wider range of products than any distributor in the region.

At Chandler, our secret to success is we consistently look after the needs of our customers. Looking ahead, we intend to continue working hard every day to be your supplier of choice.
